Monday-Tuesday: The beginning of a new week

Monday: I was in the Out-Patient Clinic for the morning with Stacy. For some reason every time I'm in out-patient, a low number of patients come. Today I worked with 1 patient all morning. Stacy and I got other stuff done, I updated  my blog and then we biked into town after lunch.  We went to the bank, which is a nice place to hang out because it is nicely air-conditioned, and then had some amazing slushies at the Snack Shack.   I haven't spent much time in town, even though I've been here 1 month, so I was getting us lost a little bit. But we found the groceries we needed and biked back to Hillside.
When we returned, Caroline and Carley were back from mobile, finishing up notes. I was fortunate to have had a bit of a relaxing  afternoon and then was able to Facetime with my family and one of my good friends from grad school! It was just what I needed at the beginning of this new week of change!

Tuesday:Today all 6 of us, myself, Caroline, Carley, Stacy, Monica and Florecita, all piled into the Nissan- squished in the back for sure- with 3 bikes and 2 walkers in the bed of the truck.

We split into 2 groups, half of us were doing home health and re-evaluating patients, and the other half worked with Florecita for the restorative program, riding bikes around town to patients' homes. We all met up for lunch at the Snack Shack for burritos, slushies and shakes, then back to work for the afternoon.  When we returned to Hillside, we all had plenty of notes to write for the day, needless to say we were busy! Carley, Caroline and myself did not finish up until 7. That was our busiest and latest day thus far- I guess it needed to happen at some point? But we were exhausted. Good thing we have awesome people with us who were making dinner while we were working late. All of our meals here have been delicious- tonight was Butternut Squash Curry with coconut milk over rice! And before bed some of us watched Anger Management on the projector screen we set up inside Abby's house.
