The sea at sunset, windy and cool! |
This week has been different week with less patient care and more planning out programs and re-assessing all the work we have done so far. We were at the Ministry of Education this morning for a little bit putting together packets of books and movies to distribute to the schools in the area about disability awareness.
Thursday night, all of the students and the husband and wife doctor team and 2 of their kids, came to dinner with us to Gomier's . So the background on Gomier's ..... It is a delicious vegetarian place but it takes approximately 4 hours to eat. We even called 2 days in advance to tell them that we had a party of 15 coming. But that's the whole point of going to Gomier's the experience of waiting 3 hours to eat yummy food. I had coconut water to start with, real coconut and all, my favorite! For dinner I had garlic shrimp, rice with vegetables and then sauteed vegetables! got my veggie fix in for sure!

Carley and I at Beyonce's- |
After Gomier's we went to Beyonce's to play a little pool and hang out and attempt to do karaoke. It was a fun night! But Friday morning might have been a bit of struggle....
Friday morning: I was in the out-patient clinic with Carley and Stacy. We had 5 patients total, so it was a bit busy of a morning for us! I had a new complicated patient, who basically just wanted massage.... one of those....
Friday we all have group lunch- today it was cahoun cabbage! my favorite, and then the rehab team packed up and were on our way to Placencia for the weekend- See the next post for updates on that! We jumped on the James bus for a quick ride up to Independence (a little over an hour drive) then we took the Hokey Pokey water taxi to Placencia.
